Participation in any sacrament of the Orthodox Church requires appropriate preparation; the examination of our deeds before confession, prayers before receiving communion, etc. Baptism, chrismation and marriage require time and thoughtful preparation, in addition to regular meetings with the priest who will administer the sacrament.
